Have never actually owned a Tubescreamer, so I figured I’d build one. Just wrapped this one up, as always with PedalPCB builds, it was a straight forward.

Green was an obvious choice given the lineage of this pedal, so I found a farm equipment paint in John Deere green. I kind of like the knobby texture it has...and that’s even with a few coats of clear coat on top.

I stuck with the parts and pieces called for in the build docs, but didn’t have an LM833 on hand so I threw in an OPA2134 I had laying around. I used a socket for the OpAmp so once I get a feel for the pedal I’ll experiment with different chips to find what my ear and fingers like best.

Would be excited to hear what OpAmps you all like in your Tubescreamer circuits.

Alright, Dudes,

I’ve built a handful of OD pedals from here that I love, but this thing is sick!!! After having some time to play with this, I highly recommend it.

There is a lot of range with the various modes, but I can’t get a bad sound out of it yet. My LM833s came in today and I think they are my favorite, with the OPA2134 a close second.

Anyways, I’m having lots of fun with this one. I’m sure you will too. Now I’m probably going to have to build a Stockade as well - and I’m totally cool with that!!
