Pacifier, DOD FX76, may interest you. Not exactly a fuzz that cleans up well though.

There are 2 circuits in parallel, an OD/Distortion close to DOD 250, and a fuzz circuit.
We can use each separately or blend them together with some Mix control.
The Gain control has lots of range from almost clean to full distortion, and we can add a little bit of fuzz or a lot of it.
A good range of possibilities and various interesting sounds.
Depending on the transistor we use on the fuzz side we can get different textures.
The build doc specifies 2n5088, 300-900 Hfe, which gives a wild gated fuzz, but we can get smoother fuzz tones using transistors with lower Hfe.
In my experience it can be interesting to try various transistors, the standard 2n5088 are great in this circuit, but it can be a bit too much depending on your tastes. 2n2369 are good candidates to replace 2n5088 at Q1 or Q2 or both.
A few mods have also been discussed for this circuit.
Since the Punkifier/
Pacifier is basically a blend of a full-on fuzz with an overdrive, is there an easy way to throw on an extra pot to control the fuzz?
