In our local Gumtree ads a fella was advertising a "Vintage TS10" which he was asking Aust$1500 for - nearly a grand US. Back in the day I was talked into buying a then new TS10 by my bassplayer because he was convinced it would "improve my guitar tone". Not only did it sound very, very ordinary but it kept ejecting my guitar leads. I've never experienced that before or since.

I read this as the pedal rejected your solos at first.

Nah, this is why I build my own pedals now. They know what will happen to them if they critique my playing.
