Orthrus (Paragon)

Built this as a gift for a friend. Orthrus is a two-headed dog in Greek Mythology with a 'Sonic Roar' as its power. The heat transfer vinyl was a major pain on the textured enclosure. This was my first Paragon build. I have a mini on the bench. I think I'm going to experiment with the pots a bit. The ones I used have most of the action in the last half of the sweep. I'm also thinking about using mini switches for R3 and R17. I used 1k in the Left and 100k in the Right for this build. A48E37FE-3332-4814-BBD1-6DA534C564E1_1_105_c.jpeg Orthrus Circuit.png

Man I tried a cricut for some smaller font and it kept pulling the letters off. I’ll chalk it up to a font issue.
The smaller fonts are a major pain! Also, too much pressure with the heat press causes the vinyl to move. Sometimes I’ve had to place individual letters that pulled off the transfer. I’ve had better results after letting the transfer cool down before peeling the backing. The waterslide has been much easier to work with, but I haven’t cracked the code for dark enclosures. I don’t have white ink capability.

With you on that I have had good luck with water slide. I was going to give laser engraving and color fill after a go but my first attempt was a disaster.
