I am about 99% finished a build (have to do some routing of the back plate to make it fit) of an Anubis from Dead End FX which is another Life Pedal clone like the Parentheses. Comparing the Anubis to the Parentheses I just finished a few days ago, the Anubis has much more of an oscillation or swelling to the distortion compared to the Parentheses' steady drone. I do remember reading somewhere about this type of oscillation, but can't remember the cause. I am possibly recalling that it was either the germanium diodes or the op amp as the reason? Both my builds use the same op amp (LM301AN as a replacement for the LM308) and D9V diodes I bought on ebay from Russia.
