I love the Friedman sound and have wanted to build all of the pcb’s from here for a while. Just got around to this one.
Followed the directions to a t, and there’s not much to be disappoint by. I do think having a noise gate with these type of pedals is damn near mandatory, but when you use the amount of gain that I do, it’s to be expected.
It’s just as good as I hoped it would be. I have a high gain amp in my ENGL fireball 25, but I still like to have some of these other high gain preamp like pedals to put in the effects loop for something different.
I’m in a rut with naming these dang things and now I’m just putting in random words that I remember out of nowhere. I’ll look it up to see what it means, and then if it fits, I’m like sure why not.
I typically buy knobs in groups of 6, so the 7 knobs threw me off as I didn’t have 7 of one thing. But I did have 4 of the bigger black knobs and 3 of the smaller ones, so it worked out.
