Paragon Mini Dip Switches

Can I use a toggle switches instead of the dip switches for the Paragon Mini? I want to be able to access the settings without having to open up the back of the pedal. Was looking at my dpdt switches, as I've used those for the GuitarPCB Afterblaster, but not sure how to wires these up, or is SPDT the way to go?
 
DIP switches are simple SPST switches, but i don't think I've seen SPST Mini switches. SPDT will work fine, one for each individual switch in the DIP switch package. DPDT will work but take up more space and you will waste a set of contacts.
 
Yeah I think I just figured that out.

I desoldered the dip switches and used an ON/OFF/ON dpdt and both "ON" positions sound the same to me. I figured out how to wire it up, so I think I'm going to use some cool flat toggle spdt and try again.

How would I wire up a bi-color led to this?

I would use a DPDT ON-ON switch (NOT ON-OFF-ON), one set of contacts to replace the DIP Switch and one set for the LED.
 
For some reason, those images of switch functions just never compute in my mind. I'm pretty dumb, so I need stuff drawn out for a toddler to understand.

I'll just use alligator clips and wire stuff up until I get it. I appreciate you trying to help
 
what if I divide it in half. It is basically 2 switches mushed together. so you want Pin 4 to pin 6 or 2 to be the LED. and Pin 3 to pin 1 or 5 for the dip pins on the pcb. The lever (the black vertical dotted line on the right connects the 2 switches together so when 4 is connected to 2, 3 is also connected to 1. In the other toggle position Pin 4 connects to pin 6 at the same time as pin 3 connects to 5.

Wow man, you explained that perfectly. I actually finally get it. Thank you

Was looking at so many images last night of switch connections and the brain connections just weren't happening. I've just been on training wheel for so long and now I can finally hit the open road
