Parallel resistor pot question (im being dumb)

Pot wired as variable resistor,


I am out of 50k trims i just attach the parallel resistor between 1 and 3 to lower the pot value here right. IE my 100k trimmer ill attach a 100k resistor between legs 1 and 3. And i can just solder to the pads in the back right.

Yup
It will have a sudo log taper though
So, at 80% rotation, you'll have 44.4kohms
In the middle, you'll have 33.33k
First quarter will be 20k

You can under or oversize the resistor a little if you have an idea if you'll be closer to 50kohms or 0 to make it easier to dial in
Find a parallel resistor calculator if so
(Closer to 50k, go with 120, closer to 0, go 82ish)
