Particle Accelerator lack of Bass

I bought a Particle Accelerator kit from Musikding a while ago and built it. Sounded great with huge bass range. After that I built a clone for a friend and everything seems fine except that it lacks the amount of bass the original has and the bass pot doesn't seem to be doing much.
Any ideas as where I should start looking for please?
Cheers

Hello Sono,
The first to do is to double check the value of the components of the tone stack.

Hi. Creach,

Thanks for your reply :)
The value of the components is Bass A250k, High B250k and Mid I didn't have a 10k so I used a B25k. Do you think that could be the cause?
Unless I'm wrong about this, I would've thought that with the bass pot all the way up it should behave like any other pot value since resistance in that position is 0, and should sound WAY more bassy......shouldn't it?
Any ideas?

Thanks for your help :)

You should also double check the capacitor c5, c7, c8 and the resistor R10.
Some pictures of the inside of the particle accelerator can be useful.

If the components are correct value it good be good to check the solder joints.

Can you check the capacitance with a meter? Do you have a multimeter?

I do have a meter, yes :)
I will check the joints, pull out C6, C7, C8, and make sure they are ok and report back.

Thanks :)
