Just for fun I built a partscaster Tele' over the Summer and I installed 5mm green LED fret markers in a trace mod. which required sharing a common ground with the passive audio circuit thru the bridge. The Cathode lead is soldered to a wire lining the floor of the fret slot and the string pressing against the fret completes the circuit. very simple and " very noisy." ( like having a Kill switch) Any one have a suggestions for a boot resistor snubber circuit .
