I built the Eternal Burst and Awful Waffle before this but they’re in bare enclosures, I don’t like that, but I didn’t really care for either pedal anyways. I give both 5 stars for build complexity. They were a breeze and great for beginners. I just wasn’t big on either. The Awful Waffle is ok but I think it’s past its time. It’s on the darker side as well. I do like the touch sensitivity of it and overall tone. Just have others that can do that and more.

For the Clandestine…we just didn’t get along at first. I built it twice. 2 boards lol. I built the pedal the first time and somehow never seemed to notice I’d put both the pot and switch on the wrong size. Hey atleast it passed audio though! I managed to get the pot off but broke the switch. I was just having a tough time getting that switch to come out so I ordered another board.

Got the second board in and build went fine. I also ordered some Lumberg dc and again jacks this time to give me a little space. It was tough squeezing the dc jack wires in as it’s an EXTREMELY tight fit. Boxed it up and my voltages were right and biased it. Went to plug it in and the input jack wouldn’t snap in for anything. Finally figured out that somehow the tip was bent back quite a bit. I managed to bend it back right after a few tries and it went in. Plugged it up and still didn’t work. Took a look a noticed the tip lug was touching the enclosure so I reset it. Plugged it back in and sounds excellent!

Artwork courtesy of @MichaelW lol. Kidding. Enclosure from stompboxparts. Kinda dig the white but it reminds me of JHS 3 series. Seriously though this is a cool boost. It actually breaks up some! The only other Echoplex type preamp was those Mosky BP boosters which didn’t really do a thing but add a slight clean boost with the highs rolled off.

The white makes me want to build a Bjfe Artic White Fuzz!
