This one has some obscure caps (ceramic and film). I made sure to get every value spot on because this pedal was so appreciated in Nashville. I also saw the highly respected Tim Pierce on Beato's channel. Rick asked Tim what three pedals he needed and the first one he requested was a Nobels. The other two pedals Tim wanted? He just said a reverb pedal and a delay pedal. Not any partivular brand or name.
So after waiting for some odd values I assembled this board and it worked straight away on the PPCB platform. The sound was tight at full gain and incredibly transparent and airy with the gain rolled down to zero. I guess the spectrum potentiometer is to add color like treble and bass. The pedal's power does not kick in until you get past noon on the volume.
I used a 5mm red diffused LED and red MXR style knobs. The case is from Tayda and I think it was a light green. I chose Switchcraft jacks. It is VERY tight trying to solder the Spectrum potentiometer with all of the plastic nearby. Overall a very nice Tube Screamer type pedal with more functionality. I am not sure I am gaga for the pedal the way they are in Nashville, but it is decent creamy overdrive.
