A tribute to SRV. Just a few hours start to finish. Not too many parts and fairly easy to do with less than your full abilities. It sounds different on my Vibroverb - much more throaty and low. On a 1965 Super Reverb it cooks pretty good. SRV used a 1964 Vibroverb and I happened to have one so I gave it a go. Definitely sounded better on the 1965 Super Reverb. You can get this thing cranked very loud and it makes it feel like the amp is breaking up. I give it high grades. I was surprised at the lows you can dial in with this pedal.

I used a powder coated enclosure (flawed and thin in areas) not sure what supplier it was from, but it was not Tayda. Tayda sends me polished jewels! I used a black footswitch and Switchcraft jacks. The 1N4148s are socketed in case someone feels adventurous. The knobs are my attempt to make this more of a black and white theme. The decal was done on a QL-1110NWB.

In college I worked for a company called RTM security. We did Alpine Valley shows. I saw everyone who toured. The night SRV played Alpine Valley and then died near the ski hill, I did not work. I do not want to start a fight, but SRV's version of Voodoo Child was better than the original. IMG_0144.jpeg IMG_0140.jpeg
