Just finished building a Phase II and having an issue where turning down the feedback knob causes the effect to diminish (expected) and the pedal to get super loud
I figured it out. The spacing on the board is really tight for standard sized resistors and the leads of R7 and R24 were up touching. Bent them apart and all is well. I'd recommend going with smaller resistors for this build in general.
