The tldr; if you need a simple utility, build it!
I just got an Oscillator Devices HydraX4 to expand my board. I love it. It’s a 4-ch loop switcher with reorderable loops, two programmable gain stages, one of which can be placed before or after any loop.
And MIDI control. I use PC messages to control a few pieces of gear on my board. The only problem is, this is my first MIDI device without a DIN jack. I didn’t want to wait and buy a cable, or hack one together.
So I grabbed this 1590LB and a couple of jacks. I had these parts prior to July 14th, so I will make this my final entry in the PHB.
