Photon Vibe

Built this for a friend. Very cool pedal, still deciding what we’ll do for the art. The enclosure is sparkle green left over from an old mammoth order. This is my first experience with uni vibe sounding circuits, so I can’t compare, but lots of range available especially by adjusting the two trimmers that affect the lamp. I like having the eq knobs as well.

I read Chuck’s Stereo Vibe thread, lots of good info there. I may incorporate some more of his mods if I built one of these for myself. The only thing I implemented this time was to use a 12v regulator instead of 15v.

Both I and the guy I made it for prefer side jacks so the in/out/power aren’t all crammed together. So I decided to wire the pots off board so I could shift the pcb to allow space for the in/out jacks. I also decided the flashing light is a bit distracting, and fluctuates with depth. Chuck had a mod to make it more consistent. But I decided to just wire it up like a normal on/off led.

Update, the guy I built this for used his laser engraver and planer to fashion this face plate, I think it turned out pretty cool.
