Pickup gurus your assistance please.

I second Tim, I’ve have several pickups wound by him. There was a set in the pickup passing box that disappeared, too.

I see his specialty is Jazzmaster pups having just acquired a Squire classic vibe Jazzmaster I may find some funds to throw his way

Have you tried them in your guitar? They won't sound like a Firebird in a Strat anyway and you might find that you like them. Can't hurt to try them.

I am waiting on my custom pickguard from Warmoth but have also ordered a set of the Johnny Winter vintage spec ones just in case. I will try both and sell what I don’t use. I can’t say I am looking for this to sound exactly like a Firebird, just a different flavor of Strat. Filter’trons were a consideration for this project as well as was suggested by a buddy of mine.
