I'm working on a Distortion 250 on my breadboard and want to make some mods. One complaint I have is that the gain pot is a B1M and as it sweeps it doesn't change much then gets real dirty in the last 10%. If I want to make the sweep more gradual, would I change the value of the pot or the value of the R3? If it is the pot, is there some formula to figure out what values are usable? Or is it just trial and error?
