Mmmhhh, bass preamp based on the B-15? Sure, gimme-gimme-gimme.
Of course, I've never played a real B-15 and I am not even chasing that sound at all, but boy-oh-boy, this pedal sounds good. I fattens up your sound in a lovely way, gives you some well tuned tone controls to play with and if you up the gain it adds some hair to touch sensitive grit ... yeah!
The CAB knob is great too, staying more on the rather subtle side but still cool to fine tune things and get even more warm/vintage vibes.
I still need to check out how it handles dirt pedals in front of it, but I'm pretty sure that will also be glorious.
Those through hole 2n5457 are from Fuzzdog, I biased them according to what Robert posted elsewhere: 5.87V on Q1 and 6.35V on Q2.
I came very close, +/- 0.1V, but those Tayda trimmers are a bit fiddly (at least in this application).
For a chance, a plain look.
