Practice Headphone Amp with aux in

Finished this thing up tonight. The mixer works well and the headphone amp is great. There are a couple things I need to test still like the aux input (can’t find my aux cable) as well as add a wire to ground the HP amp when it’s bypassed.

Otherwise I’m super pleased with how this came out. The unicab is really awesome. It will be a great cabsim for the upcoming PPCB project. I have this setup at the end of my pedal board and it plays with pedal very nicely. Cleanish tones with delay reverb and mod effects sound best with drive pedals you really gotta dial it in with the unicab.

Fitting all this into the gorva 1590bb was a real chore. Though I learned my lesson with my dual Protein but apparently I like to inflict pain on myself.

I’ll probably build the PPCB project when it’s out too but this is totally serviceable.

Oh yeah and I chose those 3.5 mm jacks because of that and I’m not sure the data sheet in tayda is correct. Only one ear works unless I insert it partially.

Try an isolated jack on the headphone out. That happened to mine too.

Good idea I’ll try and isolate this one and order an iso Jack if I can’t get that to work

Are the auxiliary input and output of phones stereo?
What is the sequence of the circuits?
I built a tonemender followed by a unicab and would like to include a stereo auxiliary input and a stereo phone output. My sketch would be like the one in this image.

No the aux input and hp output are mono. To do stereo without a dedicated pcb to save space would have been pretty difficult.

The order is guitar>unicab(bypassable)>mixer>Switch(amp or hp amp)

The aux input goes to a dual gang pot in the mixer circuit. I also have an additional single input to the mixer that I left open because I didn’t have the space (I honestly don’t know what I’d use that for anyways I was just adding shit for the hell of it

I believe to do a true stereo output you would need two headphone amp circuits

The dual gang is because you used 2 mixer inputs for the auxiliary? Forgive me for using a translator program.

Yeah that’s it but what do you mean exactly by external cabsim? Like another instrument through an external cabsim circuit that gets mixed with this pedal?

At the end of my pedalboard, I use a TC Hall of fame and it has 2 outputs. One would go to unicab and the other output I plug into a Joyo American Sound, followed by a Nux Solid Studio. All of this goes into a Behringher interface.
These two systems at the same time were what sounded best to me.
Today I use phones on the interface, but it depends on the computer being turned on to work.

This was the issue here. Isolated the jacks with tape and heat shrink tubing and it works. Going to buy some actual insulated jacks now too.
