Q-tune first thoughts

Hey folks. I got my Q-tune kit yesterday and thought I would post some feedback. First, let me say that the box was well packed. Everything was sorted neatly in bags and nothing was going to get damaged. The parts were high quality and had nice thick leads. Not cheap parts. I followed along with the build doc and was I able to get it done beginning to end in a few hours. The most difficult part is not rushing the ribbon cable attachment. I also would not recommend this for a beginner. Intermediate is probably appropriate. It’s just like most other pcbs however there are a lot of parts in a small area. For that reason the solder pads are quite small. If you are not use to soldering pcbs this is where a beginner would have the most trouble. I plugged it in and it works perfect. I played around with the different options (didn't see the games though :)) i have to say it’s pretty cool. I set it up to look like a strobe tuner and was able to change the color etc. I also plugged it into my computer and did an update to make sure everything worked. Overall a very cool, quality tuner. It will definitely be on my board and I would highly recommend it.

Congrats on a successful build and thanks for sharing! You may eventually discover some of the "games" by happen stance. There's the utility tuners you can turn on for access to the Quizzer tuner, but some of the other ones are Easter Eggs since they are non-essential to the function of the tuner.

If there's something you'd like to see it do differently, don't hesitate to ask. Can't promise that we'll implement everything, but if there are improvements we can make to the software, we're never opposed to that!
