Question on signal path

Ok so i feel like it matters here but will make my layout a lot easier if it doesn’t. After the 10k resistor does the signal have to hit the nodes in order ie if my trace goes to the 2n2 (which now has a tone control pot) with a intersection heading to the clipping diodes that then goes to the volume pot. Or does that signal not being clipped “first” going to effect the tone control. It seems like it would just checking. Diptrace is fine with as long as all the connections are there…

You don't have to wire them in your schematic drawing order. Electrically, the nodes all see the same voltage. So, you could have a trace that goes 10k -> lug 1 of tone -> anode of 4148 -> cathode of 1n34a ... and be fine.
