I housed this to replace an Obtuse Boost build that didn't quite speak to my condition. Perfectly possible that I messed something up but it just didn't quite do it for me.
This is the ReproFuzz, based on the Supro 1304 Fuzz. I was fortunate to come across a (local!) secret stash of 1304s which I snapped up and have been deploying left, right, and centre in all kinds of Ge-based fuzz units.
Simple enough to move it over in the Obtuse Boost's place and a bit of careful desoldering meant I could recycle the footswitch.
To my auld ears this sounds fantastic: warm and crunchy, with plenty of low end but still clear and articulate. Bodes well for my upcoming 360 preamp build which uses a 1306. I'm hoping that the 1304 will be close enough for jazz as a sub, but will socket at any rate to have some choices. Thanks for reading as ever.
