This is my buid report of Brian Thornock's "Don't Tell Ray" oil can delay project. This is a PT2399 delay with added features to simulate the behavior of an oil can delay unit.
It works as spected for a PT2339 delay with two added controls, "Grit" adds a bit of dirt like a tube preamp and "Balance" sets the balance of a simulated spinning wheel making it sounds unbalanced like a bad working unit what gives it its distinctive sound.
It's got a switch to change between two speeds "Adineko" slower and "Organ Tone" faster.
I believe this is the only oil can delay project in the DIY community and for me is a great addition to any pedalboard.
Finally I would like to thank Brian for this amazing circuit. More info of his projects here.
