2008 Fender American Select and happy to announce the birth of my first new Warmoth.

HSS is my jam. Business up front. Party in the back. The way I look at it is they're all Stratocasters, just maybe not 50's spec, 60's spec etc. Heck my Fender even says Stratocaster on the headstock, that's good enough for me.🤘

Very nice. Crimson red transparent is the same finish I have on my strat but it looks a lot darker on the mahogany body of your american select vs the ash body on mine. It looks cool with the black plastics too
 
Strat shape and a single coil or push pull split humbucker in the neck (although split is close to super strat territory) = strat. No other pickups factor into the equation for me. @spi nailed my opinion here:

My opinion (obviously)
SSS = Strat
HSS = Still a Strat
HSH + floyd rose = Super Strat
HSH + no floyd rose = Doing it wrong
HH = Get an LP already

Excellent choice in colors my friend! I also think they offer it on those Lead II models.
