I built this about 6 weeks ago before I went to Alaska for vacation. A couple months ago I talked to @szukalski about my love of the OD-1 V1 quad opamp version but no one makes a vintage accurate pcb. He had a layout done already and made a few changes to accommodate my existing enclosure. I was having a few issues with my previous build that I wasn't happy with and he once again knock it out the park.

Only change I made was replacing the 4k7 resistor on the volume pot with a jumper so it had real volume on tap. I used one of his smd relays that @MichaelW sent me and my existing enclosure. Its a great OD and the blueprint for the 808 and SD-1. It has less bass than a SD-1 so it really helps a guitar cut with laser focus. Slightly less drive than a SD-1 as well. Sounds killer with humbuckers and my dirty Shirley amp build.

Great build as always. Love all of your Boss builds in particular. Just curious if you happen to know how it differs from the Aion Corona, which I think is based on the quad op amp version of the OD-1? I know Aion added some extra bits to the project.

I should be able to tell you in a couple of days. My current OD-1 is built off the Aion Corona and I'm running 1S1588's in it as well as the quad opamp.

That’s @MichaelW I also built the Corona using 1S1588s. I like to understand how DIY PCBs compare to the ‘source’ pedal.

Dave optimized the layout for noise and signal flow. The noise floor is lower than my last build and completely acceptable for a gained up and being boosted.

I have not built the Aion but Kevin does great work. With the switches in the stock position it should sound pretty much identical. But, Kevin did as a 47pf cap in parallel with the clipping diodes to tame some brightness. I can always add that in but I don't really feel it needs it.

Looking awesome as ever Chris. I like to see someone who takes pride in his work. Mine are more "practical".

You've really kicked me into the vintage accurate mode. This pedal is the one on all the records you know and love. It is great for stacking (a lot of mid range though).

Mine is just the original. If you want to add stuff, it's possible but DIY.
