Chatting with @steviejr92 about mics, interfaces, mic pre's etc and got me looking at some old recordings I did back in my acoustic focused days....hard to imagine that was 14-15 years ago.
I'm pretty sure I was using a Gen 1 Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 at the time, or possible a Presonus. The Scarlett had the best (and I still believe the best) mic pre's for anything in this price range. The mics are a pair of Oktava Mk-012's, poor mans Neuman K184's. Some those Russian mics were really very well made back then AND affordable. Really sorry I sold them. They've increased in price dramatically.
Um....no pedals were used........
Even then, although I had some VERY expensive acoustics, I loved making a budget guitar sound and play great. These were both played on a Stanford OM which cost around ~$400 at the time.
A rare Pat Metheny tune that I could actually play......
A rare Tommy Emmanuel tune that I could actually play....
