I had an absolute joyous time putting my first pedal together this weekend! I learnt so much about soldering, circuits, capacitors, leds, Etc... I also learnt how frustrating it is to build a pedal, test it and for it to fail and then consume your every waking moment until it’s fixed! Haha
In total I soldered two capacitors the wrong way, then fixed that and couldn’t work out why it wouldn’t work. After hours of troubleshooting with a multimeter and about one YouTube video away from making an audio probe I saw in this forum someone mentioned that they also bought the 3pdt breakout board for the led switch and that they had to wire across the bottom. I did that and it worked immediately!
I was stoked when it fired up! Hopefully I get lucky with the next couple I have lined up as well!
Ps. I messed up when I put the graphic on and the volume and gain are back to front! Haha! It’s a good reminder for me so I never think I’m too smart ?
