Soldering JFET Adapters

Came across this little technique for soldering legs to JFET adapters and thought it worked so well I’d share. Essentially, it’s just inserting 1cm pieces of stripped wire into sockets to hold them in place, then using helping hands to solder them in.

I use 22g wire, which fits very snugly into sockets, so I don’t have to worry about them falling out, but still allows me to pull the JFET if needed. It also lines things up beautifully for clean, straight wires.

Pin row headers are fine, but I’ve had issues getting the pins hot enough, and you can’t pull them out of the PCB easily if needed.
