Some FuzzDog Dirt

Sometimes, I get PCBs from the chaps at Fuzzdog, mostly only if I can't find something anywhere else, because I generally don't like their side jacks and power" approach. Going for top jacks and power often means that all the controls have to be moved down ... or do off-board wiring.

So, this one is supposed to be the OBNE Haunt, a high gain gated fuzz with blend and two switches for tonal options. Sounds great on bass!

Then, the DBA Absolute Destruction, "designed to make your signal sound like all your gear is broken". Well, there are some big fat fuzz sounds in there too, but yeah, mostly all kinds of crazy and/or broken sounds when adjusting LOAD and GAIN. I like those wacky DBA designs and this one is no exception.

And the Dunwich 3-knob hybrid Cthulhu Fuzz. Funny wiring because I've tried to build this one on a vero layout based on the Fuzzdog schematic, but I couldn't get it to work properly and after some frustrating debugging attempts, I just grabbed the PCB from Fuzzdog with my last order ...... and then used the already drilled enclosure and most parts from the vero build.
Sounds absolutely massive, that Depth control is great ..... (I upped the bigger cap to 1.5uf, left the other at 15N).
Something Russian in the GE tranistor spot.

I'm with you on FuzzDog designs, I like that he's got some different designs than here, but I really don't like the side jacks either so I end up adjusting everything like you.
