Here are a few builds from the Fuzz Dog's pedal parts.
First up, their take of the Basstortion. I made this for a guitarist friend. He played my PPCB version and wanted one as well. As I really like mine on bass, I had to make another one. Sounds pretty much identical. The graphics were chosen by my friend. It's just a photo he has taken.
Easy build, but I don't like the side jack idea the PCB design implies and made it top jacks.
Next, a Quantum Mystic (BAT). Very cool pedal. I made a Raw Heart (Quantum Mystic and Witch Burner) for another bassit and really liked this side, while not caring too much for YATS, so here we go, this one is for me.
Here's a Bass Bax Rat. A rat with a tonestack replacing the filter and a FET boost output section. I went with the bass tuned specs and for clipping options I felt like using orange LEDs instead of red and the SI clipping is made asymmetrical by throwing in a GE, because ... why not?
That funky opamp is a leftover from my "let's try this'n'that" days. Again: top jacks, ffs!
Sounds fantastic, even the guitar player who doesn't like rats was like "sounds really cool, can't be a rat".
Finally, a Green Rhino OD MKII. Way Huge stuff is usually up my alley. This one seemed a bit underwhelming while testing. Maybe I'll need to put it through my wall of BIG amps to get a better picture. Or maybe, it's just not for me.
