The Southern Belle is a variant of the the Mach 1 and as such they are very similar, and if my understanding is correct, compared to the Mach 1 the Southern Belle has a gain boost in the feedback loop of the first half opamp, hard clipping diodes and more gain in the feedback loop of the second half of the opamp. Will any of these affect the mid range of the pedal?
The reason I ask is that the pedal the Southern Belle is a copy of is said to have a 'focused mid range' not something I would say the Mach 1 has, so I was anticipating some other component value changes to maybe knock off a bit of high and low end. But maybe the extra gain in the soft clipping does attenuate the high frequency transients?
Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on this.
