Spaghetti Western tremolo/reverb?

Hello!

A friend asked me to help track down some sounds for an upcoming record. He plays lap steel and is chasing those classic “spaghetti western” vibes. I’m pretty well covered on the drive side but I’m coming up short on reverbs and tremolos that really fit the aesthetic.

I’ve already built a harmonic tremolo and I have a Sproing Deluxe PCB ready to go, just need to get the BBD. I like the idea of the Sproing, I’m wondering if it might be a bit too clean, I haven’t had a chance to play one yet.

Any other pedals that might nail that dusty, cinematic western feel?

Interesting on the spirit box. Need to revisit mine, if I recall I do need to make a mod, the swell isn't as swelly as I would like

As for the Commit Mirage, love the idea but tubes scare me a bit. Need to get over that though.

I was going to recommend the sproing deluxe. I built a couple and thought they were pretty good.

If you really love that sound, or really need to nail something specific on an important recording, the strymon flint obviously looks pretty nice.

I just did a little googling and read someone talking about the default setting on the flint being verb into trem, and something about that being the way of the old fender amps that maybe made the original spaghetti sounds. I don't think I've ever tried verb into tremolo - if that ended up being cool it might be an argument for separate pedals, or maybe trying to work an order switch into the sproing deluxe.
