Special OD (Shins Dumbloid) build report

Here’s my build of the Special OD pedal kit, which is a Shin’s Music Dumbloid clone.

I purchased the PCB from Das Musikding and the components from various places. I particularly like the knobs on this one.

The enclosure is my own design, made using vinyl decals cut on a Cricut machine.

This is both an overrated pedal and an underrated pedal.
Overrated in the sense of all the hype around it and crazy prices they're asking for. Plus it's hard to dial in a good tone and people think it's too fizzy.
Underrated in the sense that it's a great sounding pedal if you take some time to learn it's idiosyncrasies. I was able to get a lot of cool Dumble-eque tones out of mine. (oops, am I allowed to say the "D" word now that it's owned by British Pedal Company?:))

Here's my build and demo.

Nice build and demo. I like those 1590bb enclosures, but I have far too many pedals on my board so I can’t spare the space unfortunately!
