Spirit Box Attack Mod

I am thinking about building the Spirit Box as my next project, the idea of a reverb with delay options in one pedal really intrigues me. My question is… would it be possible to modify the circuit so I could add a toggle or second Footswitch to turn the attack just either on or off rather than adjusting the potentiometer from 0 to whatever I want every time. Like I set the attack knob at 2 o’clock and I can control if I want no pre delay or the pre delay I set on the knob by clicking a Footswitch or toggle? Just curious if this is even possible.

Of course, just have the footswitch connect Attack2 with Attack 1.

There will still be some delay from the 1k resistor, but it’ll be very small, probably unnoticable. It’s not good to ground pin6 of the pt2399 without some other countermeasures.

If you really wanted No predelay, you could have the footswitch bypass the pt2399 section of the circuit, but that’s more work for probably no benefit.
