Spiteful Boost

This didn't start off as a spite build - it became one.

I've been working thru the backlog of older boards. This was my first attempt at SMD soldering. It was a little scary at first but I watched a couple vids and it wasn't that hard to pick up. I built this before the weird voltage chip became obsolete, so that's cool.

By the time I finally got to housing it in an enclosure, I'd been able to have an intriguing and meaningful correspondence with the circuit's creator, and I wanted to honor that in some way. I had this weird red 1590bb enclosure left over that didn't come out the way I would have liked, and it came together quickly after that

It's an obnoxious red, laid out in an obnoxious way, with all the wires the same damn color, the toggle switch off boarded so it can be way off on the other side of the pedal for no reason other than fuck it, nothing is labeled because it doesn't matter anyway, the pedal sounds like ass with no character, but somehow it comes together as more than the sum of its parts. It looks like a hipstery pedal. Which is perfect. I actually like how this one came out considering what it is. But I can't recommend building one as it really isn't anything special.
