Continuing my dig through old builds. About a year ago, I decided for some reason that I really needed a DI to record my modeller at home. I blame the Walrus Audio Canvas. It had a line isolator option, so by golly that's what I needed.
This guy has two channels, each running an unbalanced TS out of the modeller into a Lehle iso transformer. Output has the recommended Zobel network. Each channel also has a ground lift and phase switch just to see if I could do it.
Wiring isn't super pretty since I built this thing on a whim, but it works. Had the wrong size drill bit for the XLRs, so they're no crazy pretty either. The switched jack produces a copy of the left channel on the right side when the right input is unplugged.
Also, turns out I really don't need a line isolator with all of these crazy options to record stuff in m bedroom. Oh well.
