Substitute C1M for linear or audio taper instead

What to do about C1M pots?

Let's say someone was tempted by the Circulator and Chaos Machine circuits, but didn't have any C1M pots on hand, how disruptive would it be to use either linear or audio taper pots instead?

I know they will technically work, but has anyone done it and found any issues dialing in settings?

I could just suck it up and place a Tayda order, but I don't actually need anything else at the moment.

2 suplemented tapers in the same pedal!
What's your next projects?
Are you going to need to purchase Pots for those.
Can turn into a Vicious circle!

I have all the "usual" pots and parts on hand (next up I'm likely building a Deflector and Arachnid and have dozens of B100K pots on hand, for example).

I've subbed an A taper for C, both are Logarithmic, just have to remember it's reversed

I've since revisited my plan. I've ditched the Chaos Machine, but I'll need LM13700s for the Circulator anyway, so I can just build that later after another parts order the next time I need more stuff and get the right pots.
