Hello,

A friend is coming home in a few hours to look for analog effects. Reverb, overdrive, flanger, delay, etc.

He's working on a psychedelic rock project with an other friend, and intends to use his synth (korg ps3200).

I have a lot of effects so I am not sure we will have enough time to try everything.

I wonder if you can help me find the most suitable circuits ? Which ones would you choose among this list ?

Good list.

One of the synth/key dudes I know doesn't gel as much with fuzz or od but loves his pair of MXR distortions +.

Another friend, a more rhodes based but also synth guy, will use anything but loves muffs, phase, and delay. He uses a lot of wah too, you can get a hand operated wah like function out of the zapper. Some of the key players i know prefer not to use their feet for pedals. I also think the filter fx would be a lot of fun on synth.

Thank you for your answers, my friend just left with most of my favorite circuits in his truck...

He's a gifted winemaker from Côteaux du Layon, he brought around 20 amazing bottles, quickly got me drunk with his delicious natural white wine, and then I couldn't resist.

He took BM op-amp, Filter fx, Dandy Horse, Spatialist, 3verb, Walrus Lillian, Phase 90, Hydra, Pirate Shift, OC-07 octaver, noisegate, and two more that I can't even remember... I barely convinced him that the Spectron was too complex for a live performance.

I should get everything back in april.

He brought his Korg ps3200 to do all the testing, it's a huge beautiful synth, it sounded amazing but it does only square waves, it was a bit harder than expected to find compatible circuits.

Wait.... you have 79 pedals...?

shit.... i just counted and i have about 50.... I had no idea....
I suggest to keep a tidy list of your builds, it's useful sometimes and easier to figure out than crates or shelves full of them....

Well apparently 65 plus a few empty bottles of wine...
Looks like i am around 80 builds since 2019, that's not so much. I am slowing down these days because it's getting a bit too much and scary.

I always had a bulimic tendency when exploring things : When I love something I do it until I overdose, then I don't love it so much and I can be moderate or move on.

Ordering some new projects, I used to tell myself that I was building some knowledge about effects, to be able to use them efficiently and accurately, I guess knowledge has no boundaries. I must admit I am starting to be overwhelmed by all the possibilities from what I already built.

Around 25 builds are in the caring hands of three trusted friends, I am trying to get them addicted, it's only logic to give free samples. I hope they will all come back to me someday this year.

These bottles will last a few months, I'll keep it for occasions, like birthdays and such. Good natural white wine, with almost no sulfites, isn't something I can usually afford, and few people have connections to get the good stuff. It would be a waste to drink this precious nectar without some old friends or family.

Quelle belle pedal-collection vous avez organisée !

If more friends come over with synths, I'd select effects good with bass, since most keyboards have a broader range typically than guitar. Oh, and break out that wine for those new synth/pedal sample sessions.

Magnifique!
