Supro vs Matchless

I just read some threads about supro pedals and that made me wonder about my search for a tone I thought I had in a Matchless hotbox I had years ago.
Is there any resemblance in the preamp of a DC30/hotbox and a Supro pedal? Is the sound I am after a different sound then I would wanted to hear in the hotbox?

Not quite sure I see the logic of demoing a pedal like you're auditioning for a praise band. I think with that much ambience slathered on it could be a Hot Rod Deluxe .

Probably a lovely sounding pedal though...

Not sure if there's any resemblance between those two amps, but this pedal is likely just a JHS Superboldt, with an added boost

I know nothing about that pedal but the circuits of a DC30 and a Supro are very different.
