The big bag of random parts thread

So, I took a gamble on an eBay lot from a junk store in NYC.

1350 grams seems an odd way to weigh it as that's just 3 pounds but so be it.
For the number of components, it was had to see many actual part numbers in the half dozen photos posted. Nevertheless, after some haggling and a 20% discount, I caved and took the gamble.
It had some USPS misadventures on the way here being delivered to Nashville, sorted and shipped to Knoxville, then back to Nashville but it made it.
It showed up yesterday afternoon. Fussing from the wife about getting "packages every day" ensued. :) when I first opened it, there was a small bag on top with about 80-100 2n2222As branded "PH" which I'm pretty sure is Philips. Score!

Powered through a 2 hour rough sorting session last night just before bed and ended with this.

A lot of the little TO-18s are motos with a house number(afaik) 25566-xx
The xx varies the spec. Some NPN, some PNP. There are some ITT jfets and a few other bits in there but the majority appears to be the motos.
A quick sampling shows hfes of 80-120. Was hoping I'd hit on a bunch more 2N2222As. Bummer. But at least they're not all voltage regs
I'll dig in some more this afternoon.

I don't know what you paid, but it seems to have already paid off.

Why were you hoping for so many 2N2222A ?
Aren't they still readily available new?
Would rather have them than have house numbered Si stuff. At least in regards to offloading any of it down the road. That and I have a thing for OG branded parts. Seeing a RCA, Moto or Fairchild feels different that a Central Semi. I know it shouldn't/doesn't matter but whatever.
I can't find much of anything on those motos aside from eBay listings. Seems the full pn is 174-25566-xx. Have several suffixes of both PNP and NPN.

Been a while.
So I got bored last night and sorted all the 8 leggers out.
Initial roll call as follows:
2x CA3080
20x CA3140
12x xx741s
18x LM201
15x LM101
3x LM108
4xLM208
5xOP07
1xOP01
2xOP16
18xLM158
5xLM1558
1xLM305
~50xLF156
~50x Various Analog Devices opamps
100ish LM111/211/311 Comparators
~50CA3039 Diode Arrays

I still have a few hundred RCA house number opamps to figure out. One day.
