the Bomber - based on the early Peavey F800B

Hello all,

I used the Peavey F800B schematic uploaded in talkbass to design a pdb . Got is fabricated and built it yesterday. Must say that it is a quite squeeze and my poor planning with the eagerness to finish it did not help.

I was not sure about how to power it so I built a vero based on a AION schematic which uses an LT1054 to provide 24V. Actually more like 21,7 when connected to the preamp circuit (change the 220ohm resistor to a jumper).

The pedal has some Peavey DNA from the components I have salvaged from amplifiers. Jacks, knobs, transistors, jewel len, etc.

Sounds like the real thing and can be used both as a pedal, (KEEP THAT MASTER LEVEL DOWN! the thing is loud) or can even be used a full fledged preamp in an FX return. Any transistor works, no worries with using the usual NPNs and PNPs . 2n5088s or 3906/4s whatever. Probably better with lower gain.

Here's the Bomber .
