Hey gang,
I recently build a combo Tommy III overdrive and a Muroidea distortion in a 1590xx with an extra footswitch to reverse the signal chain. I love the sounds I'm getting, but for some reason I'm running into some high pitch squeal issues. I'm trying to get rid of it asap.
Once I turn the distortion knob on the Muroidea past 2 o clock, i get a really sharp high pitch noise. On the Tommy III, with the heavier gain setting via the spdt toggle switch, I run into a similar issue. If I have the distortion knob at full blast and treble anywhere past 10 o clock, I also get a similar squeal.
I'll post pics tonight after work and I did test every value for the components. I read somewhere it could possibly be a capacitor value issue?
