Also sorry for yet another one of my endless questions. I've been working through @Chuck D. Bones's posts, trying to learn the ropes.
I think I'm finally making some headway with distortion circuits and EQ circuits.

Lately I moved on to wah circuits, which I ... sort of get. Sort of.
At least I think I'm starting to see the "transformer in parallel" pattern:

Like the basic wah setup:

And it looks like a "Chrome Dome" (Bloody Fingers) is basically a wah circuit into a distortion circuit?

And maybe the Conqueror Fuzz is a fuzz circuit into a wah circuit?

But what the hell is going on with the Simucast output here???

The Conqueror Fuzz is based on the amp of the same name, part of the Vox solid-state/hybrid line of 1966-1969 (Super Beatle, UL-730, the Conqueror, etc.). The amps included a mid-range boost control. That control is a wah circuit. Del Casher, a demo guy for Vox in the US, liked the sound of the Midrange Boost when turned back and forth somewhat quickly, and had the circuit put in a volume pedal enclosure. That pedal was the first wah ever...
