Two questions - buffer testing in ADHD and LED in Phase II

Hello, had two quick questions if anyone here would be kind enough to answer.

Just finished the OCD / ADHD - is there any way that I can test that the buffer/bypass switch is doing what it should do?

About to start the Phasor / Phase II - the build docs call for a yellow LED in conjunction with the LDRs. How important is this? Does it matter if it’s diffused or clear? I have a diffused yellow and a clear blue, wondering if I need to make a purchase.

Disconnect power from the pedal while it's in bypass. If the pedal goes silent the buffer / switching is working correctly.

I've always used diffused yellow 5mm LEDs for the Phase II / DuoPhase.
