Hey all,

Second pedal not working right off the bat and second thread I've started. No shorts, everything seems to be wired up correctly compared to the directions. The power works, LED is good but no sound with effect off or on. No sound period. I get the buzz if I touch the tip soldering point for both the input and output.

I'm so lost. I'm also getting discouraged because I'm 1 for 3 so far for pedals that aren't kits and I've screwed up 2 enclosures with crap drilling.

The wires on the jacks look wrong. The lugs on one side are the "switched" contacts, the other are the normal ones you want to use.

Okay, I'll give that a shot. The metal is continuous over the top so I thought it wouldn't matter which side they were soldered to but I will move those two and see what happens. I'll update later this evening. Thank you!

Okay, it works in bypass now but I get nothing but silence when the pedal is engaged.

Okay, that's a step closer. Can you post a pic of the bottom of the board?

It's not the prettiest but I did look with magnification and didn't see any connections.

Do you have a multi meter? I would check what voltages you are getting at the 8 pins of the op amp. Put the negative lead on ground and tap the positive lead to each of the op amp's legs in succession and post here what your voltage readings are.

Every pin reads 0.3 when my multimeter is set to 200 V~

Pin 8 should not be more than around 9v.. but you're getting 12v? What power supply are you using?

Whoops, it was a 12v. I have a separate one I was using for testing and apparently it's 12v. I swapped to a onespot 9v:

Ok those values all look correct. We've verified the op amp is secured in place correctly and operating correctly as well.

Silence when the circuit is engaged usually means the signal is shorted to ground somewhere.

How are the pins underneath your tone pot? On the backside of the switch PCB, are any of the leads touching each other?

I've got the plastic covers on the pots and I just double checked all the solder joints with my magnifier glasses and I didn't see any bridges or anything that could be causing a short.
