The show went far better than I anticipated. Last year, (the first such MakerFest expo in the area), about 250 people attended. This year, there were over 250 people visiting in just the first hour. Several people, including kids, stopped to ask about the pedals and the process of building. Folks actually listened to the answers with apparent interest. I was even asked to answer interview questions from two different local news sources. The enthusiasm is real.
