Unusual vintage enclosure

I’ve been meaning to share this find.
My friend Bill recently passed on. He was in his late 70’s. A lifelong musician and performer, he left behind some gear, that the family shared with his friends. In the well worn suitcase, amongst the tangled spaghetti of patch cords and adaptors, was an odd switcher box.
The red switch is momentary. The box is angled, and is plastic. The back plate is thick metal. I don’t recall what Bill used it for. Go ahead and take a guess..???

I’ll use it someday for something. Until then, it goes into my milkcrate of well coiled cords.

Tap tempo and amp channel switcher? Either way old random enclosures are my favorite thing on the planet. I can’t imagine the confusing threads my random collection will bring about when I’m gone lol
