SOLVED Valhalla oh la la (LED)

Hi everyone,

I just finished my Valhalla build and everything worked fine but the led wouldn't light up.
I figured that I must have bent it too much (it's quite hard to fit everything in the enclosure), so I desoldered the LED, soldered a new one, managed to solder it backwards, desoldered it again and... ended up destroying the anode trace.

Is there another simple way to wire the Led than on the PCB?
Thanks!

And... it works! Thanks fig.
Would you mind telling me how you found the solution? (I knew there was a way, but would never have thought of something like this)

Absolutely. I opened the build document and looked at the schematic and looked for the LED....

....and since we know the cathode end connects to the pad, the anode side is connected to R100.
The 2K2 resistor is sometimes called a CLR (current limiting resistor) to dim the LED.

Like magic tricks, it’s so obvious when you know how it’s done. Thanks!

I’ll learn to read these schematics :)
