So when I built mine I subbed B25k pots for the C25k that’s called for the Presence and Deep pots I really like the sound and have had problems finding C25k. I do have C20k’s though so my question is what effect aside from taper will swapping the pots to C20k? Lose some range in the 2 pots? will it change the overall tone of the pedal? ( I don’t think it will but not positive)
Is it worth it? or just hold out for the right ones? at the right time? at the right price?
Inpatience and cashlessness are not good healthy qualities for this hobby and I’m both. Is there a way to get another 5k by adding a resistor to the pots and will that mess with the taper?
Thanks for any and all answers

Built to spec is probably the best choice but if you are dead set on or in a pinch with using what you got. I would go with the c20k over the the B25k. I believe you will lose a little range off the beginning of the curve how much I’m not 100% certain, will you lose some response range on the Deep and presence yes, will it completely change the pedal, no. I used c50k with a 51k resistor across lungs 1 and 3 ( what I had) and it it sounds and works just fine. So I’m sure you could get away with the c20k and you probably wouldn’t know the difference unless you like to ether dial controls all the way back or dime them. Take what I’m saying with a grain of salt, I’m not nearly as experienced as a lot of folks around these parts. If that doesn’t satisfy, hopefully someone can come along and give a more technicaly appropriate answer to your question.
